Three’s Company

About Debbie Ferrante

  • Thank you for checking out my blog!
  • I am the teacher of the three year olds at First Trinity Preschool. Over the years I have taught kids from preschool right up through high school but nothing in my teaching career has been more rewarding to me than the opportunity to work with three and four year olds.
  • I also coordinate First Trinity’s Prayer Ministry in which our mission is to encourage, teach and provide opportunities to joyfully and confidently commune with God. What a joy and adventure it has been for me as I learn the heart of God and His desire to spend time with us and grow us.
  • This November my husband, Rich and I will celebrate 24 years of marriage. Together we have two children, Jacob, 19 and Anna, 16.
  • My son is in his second year at Fredonia State, majoring in sound recording and cello performance and minoring in physics. My daughter is a junior in high school and besides her academics she plays the violin and varsity tennis.
  • Both Rich and I grew up in the western New York area but moved away for many years to New Jersey and Connecticut and have only been back for the past six.
  • I look forward to getting to know you this year. I hope that you will feel comfortable and welcome as you trust your children with us.

Are you really finding life more exciting all the time?

Comment by Becky Bohning

Hey Becky,
Thanks for reading my blog. When I first read your comment I had to stop and think about my mine. Was I being truthful when I wrote it? You know, every minute of my life is not more exciting. I definitely feel more aches and pains that come with age and I do struggle with discouragement and regret at times. But as I look at my experiences I can more clearly see God’s invisible hand on my circumstances, both good and bad! It brings me comfort and yes, excitement to realize that God hasn’t given up on me and continues to closely and lovingly direct my path for His purpose. I can’t think of a more exciting possibility than the creator of the universe has a personal interest in my day to day living, a desire for an intimate relationship with me and a heavenly plan for my life that has eternal consequences. I know that I don’t always live like I believe it but it is my desire to.

I read today that we are now moving from a Post Christian culture into an anti-Christian culture. How are we preparing our young Christian warriors for battle?

Comment by Becky

My church clearly tells me how I am to do it through our mission statement: “Transform our world one life at a time through the power of God’s living Word.” So I will continue to share with my kids the promises God gives us in His Word, His love, forgiveness and power. And as the Holy Spirit works in their young lives God will prepare and send them as He deems fit.
